The job

 

As a Back-End Developer, you will be part of a development team, responsible for the development, maintenance & operations of critical notarial and public applications. You’ll be managing besides other things the digital signature & registration of deeds and the national database of authentic sources (NABAN).

You will be building software that connects with governmental institutions. These integrations involve highly complex and sensitive flows requiring a deep understanding of both technical systems and administrative processes.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Architect and build robust, scalable back-end systems to support high-volume, legally critical digital processes;
  • Design and implement efficient, secure REST APIs and microservices in Java
  • Understand and implement complex business flows involving multiple stakeholders and legal frameworks
  • Write and perform unit tests in order to maximize the quality of your deliverables and assure compliancy with Fednot Quality and Security standards;
  • Collaborate closely with back- and front-end developers, analysts, testers, and external dependencies to align technical solutions with operational realities
  • Optimize back-end performance to ensure reliability, data integrity, and legal compliance across systems;
  • Document the application code in order to ease their maintenance
  • Support the evolution of the platform with a user- and process-centric mindset

You have :

 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 4–5 years of experience as a Java back-end developer
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring framework, Spring boot
  • Experience with SQL (Microsoft SqlServer) ;
  • Nice to have: experience with Angular, and familiarity with public administration systems
  • Ability to analyze and model complex processes and workflows
  • Pragmatic, curious, solution-oriented, a real team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Language: Fluent in Dutch or French, with a solid working knowledge of English
